Five People Are Still Missing After a Shipwreck in Amazonas

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Five people are still missing after a shipwreck on the Juru River, in the city of Carauari (AM), in the west of the state, 788 kilometers from Manaus. The information was provided by the state government in a press release on Friday morning, June 21st.

The boat, used for passenger transport, sank near a community called Bacaba. According to the statement, 97 people were on board at the time of the accident and 92 were rescued.
