RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On Tuesday, May 19th, the Ministry of Health released its latest balance of deaths and confirmed cases of Covid-19. The main figures are:
- 17,971 deaths, there were 16,792 on Monday
- In 24 hours, a further 1,179 new deaths were recorded
- 271,628 confirmed cases, there were 254,220 cases on Monday
- In 24 hours, there were 17,408 more cases
