Pastor Arrested for Raping Daughter, Who Denounced Him After School Sex-Ed Class

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A 37-year-old pastor has been arrested in the city of Careiro Castanho, Amazonas State, for suspected repeated rape of his own 12-year-old daughter inside the home.

According to the police, the girl decided to report her abuse after attending a lecture on drugs and sexual abuse at school. She said she was forced to have constant sexual relations with her father whenever her stepmother would leave the house.

The Guardianship Council was called in and called the police, who requested the examinations and issued a court order to arrest the man, whose name has not been disclosed. He has been indicted for rape of a vulnerable person and is being held in the city’s police department.
