Uber Celebrates Five Years in Brazil With 2.6 Billion Trips

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Exactly five years ago, Uber arrived in Brazil, with its offer of rides available 24 hours a day through a mobile App. On the date of its anniversary, Uber announced on Wednesday, July 17th, that it had reached the mark of 2.6 billion trips in the country - in all, more than 17 billion kilometers were traveled.

The App now has more than 600,000 drivers registered in Brazil, and the most committed Brazilian driver has completed 25,000 trips through the App in recent years.
