Minister Announces Integration Works Between Brazil and Uruguay

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, met yesterday, August 17th, with Uruguay's Minister of Transport and Public Works, Luís Alberto Héber, to discuss the execution of works to connect the borders.

Following the online meeting, it was decided that Brazil will hold a bidding process for the building of a new bridge on the Jaguarão River in Rio Grande do Sul, which separates the two countries, and studies on dredging and signaling of the Brazil-Uruguay waterway will begin.

According to the Ministry, the bridge will cost R$150 . . .
