RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - German wind energy equipment manufacturer Nordex said Thursday, June 24, that it had reached an agreement with electricity company AES Brasil to supply and install 55 N163/5.X model turbines for the 314-megawatt (MW) Cajuína wind farm.
According to a statement from the European company, the order from AES Corp's subsidiary in Brazil also includes the services related to the turbines for a period of five years, with an option to extend for another 20 years.
