RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil currently counts 26,754 deaths and 438,238 confirmed cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. There were a further 26,417 positive tests in 24 hours, a record since the first case. There were 1,156 more Covid-19 victims in one day.
This is the third straight day in which deaths have exceeded the 1,000 cases mark. The data were updated by the Ministry of Health on Thursday, May 28th.
