The aid will also include 30 drugs, including amoxicillin, benzylpenicillin, sodium hypochlorite, ibuprofen, and paracetamol. According to the Ministry of Health, the drugs and supplies can help in the emergency care of up to 1,500 people for a period of three months or up to 4,500 people in a month.

The equipment weighs 3.9 tons and on Wednesday, August 12th is expected to board a KC-390, the Brazilian Air Force cargo plane that the government has assigned to carry the humanitarian aid to Lebanon.

Ex-president Michel Temer, invited by President Jair Bolsonaro to head the mission, and other delegation members will also board for Beirut on Wednesday.

In addition to Temer, the mission will include the president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo, Paulo Skaf, who is also of Lebanese origin.
