Brazil Grants Asylum to 8,000 Venezuelans in Single Day

Those granted asylum will now be able to apply for the National Migration Registry, as well as have easy access to other Brazilian rights, such as education and health.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On Friday, August 28th, the National Committee for Refugees (CONARE), linked to the Ministry of Justice, recognized the condition of refugees to some 8,000 Venezuelans. The vote was held during an online meeting and approved in a single session.
