RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In a new twist, Eduardo Bolsonaro loses the leadership of the PSL party. Just minutes after the public announcement that the party’s most Bolsonarist wing had issued 27 signatures to remove Deputy Waldir from his position as leader, the wing loyal to the party‘s president, Luciano Bivar, submitted another document, with 32 signatures against Eduardo Bolsonaro’s becoming leader.
However, shortly after this move, the Bolsonarist wing made up of Carla Zambelli, Major Vitor Hugo, and Bia Kicis, once again introduced a new document, with 27 signatures, to keep Eduardo Bolsonaro at the party helm. According to these deputies, their document is the one that counts.
There is confirmation that three documents were filed on Wednesday evening, October 16th, in the Chamber of Deputies. Thursday promises to be heated in Congress because it is not the unanimous understanding that what counts is the presentation sequence and not the amount of signatures.
Expulsions
The group of PSL deputies allied to the party’s president Luciano Bivar will expel federal deputy Carla Zambelli and other party deputies in order to nullify the signatures that dismissed delegate Waldir from the party leadership and put Eduardo Bolsonaro in his place.
