Protests in Brazil: STF president calls for reinforcement of security at Supreme Court building

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Supreme Court (STF) president, Luiz Fux, called the governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha (MDB), to request reinforcement of the security of the Court building in Brasilia.

The call was made on the night of Monday (6) after Bolsonarist protesters broke through State Police blockades and advanced on the Esplanade of Ministries.

Bolsonarists promised to "invade" the Supreme Court building last night during protests on the Esplanade scheduled for this Tuesday, September 7.

The STF building is secured by police officers from the Court itself and by state police from the Federal District. Fux . . .
