Renault Recalls 11,000 Duster Vehicles for Airbag Flaw

Renault is recalling the Duster and Duster Oroch versions, manufactured from September 14th, 2016 to June this year, to check or replace the driver's airbag.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - According to the assembler, there are 10,852 units to be recalled (7,094 of Duster and 3,758 of Duster Oroch).

The company's supplier determined that some airbags may not deploy or may deploy inefficiently in the event of a collision, which could "result in serious and/or fatal injuries to occupants" in extreme cases.

Renault says there are no records of accidents.

The non-sequential numbering of the chassis involved in Duster ranges from HJ474607 to J600336, from KJ746823 to J797677 and from LJ002318 to LJ995785. Duster Oroch chassis runs from HJ499387 to . . .
