RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – If for years on end the State was already regarded as the best in the country to spend the holidays, the latest news should attract even more tourists: according to the Blue Flag Program, the beaches of Santa Catarina boast the best quality of all the Brazilian coastline.

In all, no less than eight beaches in Santa Catarina (50 percent of all Brazilian beaches) have received the Blue Flag seal for this coming season. These are:

Estaleiro Beach – Balneário Camboriú/SC

Estaleirinho Beach – Balneário Camboriú/SC

Piçarras Beach – Balneário Piçarras/SC

Saudade Beach (Prainha) – São Francisco do Sul/SC
