Covid-19: Senate committee investigating Brazil’s management of pandemic to charge Bolsonaro with numerous crimes

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The parliamentary inquiry committee (CPI) appointed by the Brazilian Senate to investigate the management of the Covid-19 pandemic will accuse President Jair Bolsonaro of nine crimes, including crimes against humanity.

According to the final report, reported by the Brazilian press, the committee also accuses him of committing an epidemic crime, violating preventive health measures, charlatanism as he promoted alternative cures, according to the Brazilian Penal Code, dereliction of duty, unlawful use of public funds, inciting crimes, falsifying private documents and crimes against humanity.

The final text of the commission calls for indictments of 68 individuals . . .
