Truckers’ strike in Brazil: Government says federal highways are unobstructed

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Faced with an imminent strike by truckers in the country, the Ministry of Infrastructure issued a statement in which it reported that all federal highways, under the management of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), are open to traffic on Monday (26).

According to the government, the number of strike-related incidents is only one-third of that on February 1, 2021, when there was the last strike attempt . . .
