RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – At least two accidents occurred on the Belo Horizonte ring road on Friday, June 18. In both cases, the vehicles left the access loop, overturned, and lost their loads.
At km 535, in the neighborhood of Madre Gertrudes, in the West Region, a truck loaded with wood overturned in the direction of Vitória (ES).
The accident happened when the vehicle was leaving the loop on Amazonas Avenue. Part of the load spread and the highway was closed. There were traffic jams on Avenida Cardeal Eugênio Pacelli. There were no victims.
In the district of Suzana, in the region of Pampulha, a truck loaded with cement overturned after leaving Cristiano Machado Avenue. There were no casualties.
