Uber Brazil announces new headquarters campus, first technology center in Latin America

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Uber, the delivery and transportation app company, on Monday, May 31, announced the construction of new headquarters in Brazil, in Osasco, São Paulo, in view of the company’s “projected growth” over the next few years.

Named Uber Campus, the enterprise in Osasco is scheduled to be inaugurated in 2022, covering approximately 30,000 m², three times the area occupied by its current office. The space will house Uber’s first Technology Center in Latin America, inaugurated in Brazil in 2018.

The location was chosen considering the availability of adequate space to meet the company’s expansion and investments in Brazil, in addition to its proximity to the city of São Paulo, the company said in a statement.

According to George Gordon, Uber’s general director for Latin America, the new headquarters was designed for a hybrid work model, in which employees will be in the office only three days a week, while being able to work from anywhere on the remaining days.
