United States to Finance English Teaching Projects in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The U.S. embassy and consulates are accepting proposals from non-profit educational organizations teaching the English language to develop and deploy Access projects in Belém, Recife, Brasília, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, São Luís, and São Paulo.

The Access program offers English language classes for students from low-income areas, after school, and through intensive sessions. The program aims to train students for future exchange selections and studies in the USA.

In this edition, the program is addressed to teenagers in Rio de Janeiro, São Luís, and São Paulo. In Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo, Access seeks to help teachers who are starting their careers. In Belém, Brasília, Manaus, Recife, and Salvador, the program includes qualification in the foreign language.

The deadline for submission of projects is midnight on September 1st, 2019. All applications should be sent to [email protected].
