Paulo, 247,300 units were produced in September, compared to 269,800 in August.

In relation to September last year, the figure represents an increase of 10.9 percent. In the accumulated period of 2019, automotive production recorded a growth of 2.9 percent, with a total of 2.26 million units in nine months.
Sales dropped 3.3 percent in September compared to August, with the sale of 234,800 units. The figure represents an increase of 10.1 percent over sales in September 2018.
In the first nine months of the year, 2.03 million vehicles were sold, a 9.9 percent increase over the same period last year.
Exports
Exports showed a 35.6 percent decline from January to September, with 337,500 units sold abroad. When compared to September 2018, the 36,600 vehicles exported last month represented a retraction of 7.1 percent in sales in the foreign market.
Between August and September this year, there was also a slight drop in exports (-0.2 percent).
Employment
In September, the sector recorded a 3.4 percent drop in the number of jobs compared to the same month in 2018. Currently, 127,900 people work in the automotive industry, a 0.2 percent decline compared to August.
