Vehicle Sales in Brazil Increase 10.1 Percent in September Compared to 2018
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The new vehicle’s market has grown by 10,1 percent in September 2019 against the same month last year, announced on Wednesday, October 2nd, the National Federation of Automotive Vehicles Distribution (FENABRAVE), in an assessment disclosed to journalists.

There were 234,800 units sold last month, in a sum that includes the segments of automobiles, light commercials, trucks, and buses. The volume, however, if compared to August, represents a drop of 3.3 percent.

In the truck market, dealers sold 9.3 thousand units in the ninth month of the year, an increase of 38.7 percent in relation to September 2018. However, compared to August, there was a 2.9 percent retraction. From January to September, 74.7 thousand units were sold, a 40.6 percent growth.
As for the bus segment, sales totaled 2.3 thousand units in September, up 19.8 percent from the volume of September last year. On the August result, however, there was a 14.5 percent contraction. From January to September, the market accumulated 19.8 thousand sales, an increase of 47 percent over the same period in 2018.
