Authorities Close Party with 600 People in Foz do Iguaçu

In major Brazilian cities including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, public celebrations for the season have been suspended due to the pandemic.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Health inspection agents on Sunday, December 20th, closed a party in the municipality of Foz do Iguaçu in the Brazilian state of Paraná where at least 600 people gathered in violation of official regulations against large events, local authorities reported.

According to the authorities, health agents and local police raided the farm where the party was taking place at dawn on Sunday.
