RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil recorded 1,129 new Covid deaths Sunday, bringing the total number of fatal disease victims in the country to 487,401, the Health Ministry said.
There were 37,948 new coronavirus cases on the reporting day, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 17,412,766.
Brazil has the second-highest number of Covid 19 deaths globally, behind only the U.S., and the third-highest number of confirmed cases, behind the U.S. and India.
