Vice-President Mourão: Brazil Never Left First Wave, Vaccine Prognosis Difficult

Mourão argued that a "clear assessment" of who will be immunized first is required.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In a live stream from an Itaú Bank event, Vice-President Hamilton Mourão said on Monday, November 9th, that Brazil "never left the first wave" of Covid-19 and stressed that caution is needed with a vaccine against the disease. Mourão also said that it is difficult to predict when the immunizer will be available.

"Planning must first define who will be given priority for vaccination because there may be a race. We will establish the priority and disclose, divulge this to the population so that they understand", commented the vice-president.
