Brazil passes 445,000 Covid deaths and approaches 16 million infected (May 21)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil has registered in the last 24 hours 2,215 deaths and 76,855 new cases of Covid-19, according to data released on Friday (21) by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass).

With the updated figures, the country reaches 446,309 deaths and 15,970,949 cases of Covid-19, which makes Brazil one of the nations most affected by the pandemic in the world.
