RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil on Monday reported 266 new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease in the country to 579,574, the Health Ministry said.
There were also 10,466 new cases of coronavirus, with the total number of infections in the country advancing to 20,752,281, the folder added.
The moving average of daily deaths over the past 14 days reached 720 on Monday, compared with a peak of nearly 3,000 in April.
The federal government still reports 479,809 Covid-19 patients in follow-up.
