Brazil records 40,054 new cases 1,099 Covid deaths (August 5)
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil on Thursday reported 1,099 new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease in the country to 560,706, the Health Ministry said.
There were also 40,054 new cases of coronavirus reported, bringing the total of confirmed infections in the country to 20,066,587.
The federal government still reports 18,840,232 people recovered from Covid-19 and 665,649 patients in follow-up.
