Brazil registers 13,957 new cases and 270 Covid deaths (August 15)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil registered on Sunday 270 new deaths caused by Covid-19, reaching a total of 569,058 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

According to Statista, the leading German company specializing in market and consumer data, Brazil ranks fourth in Latin America for deaths per million in the last seven days. It is better positioned than Cuba, Honduras, and Argentina. Worldwide, it ranks 18th.

The total of confirmed cases of the disease reached 20,364,099, with 13,957 new infections confirmed.
