Brazil registers 32,316 new cases and 1,209 Covid deaths (August 3)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil on Tuesday reported 1,209 new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease in the country to 558,432, the Health Ministry said.

Also, 32,316 new coronavirus cases were reported, bringing the total of confirmed infections in the country to 19,985,817.

According to Statista, the leading German company specializing in market and consumer data, Brazil ranks sixth in Latin America for deaths per million in the last seven days. It is better positioned than Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba, and Argentina. Worldwide, it ranks 16th.
