For Second Consecutive Day Brazil Registers 60,000+ Covid-19 Cases, 1,000+ Deaths,

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported more than 60,899 cases of infection with the novel coronavirus, a decline compared to the preceding day (64,025), but the second consecutive day above the 60,000 new confirmed infections in 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country since February 26th is now 8,256,536, according to the Ministry of Health's website.

Fatalities associated with the disease also remain very high, with more than a thousand deaths reported for the second consecutive day. A further 1,274 deaths have been reported . . .
