Brazil surpasses 496,000 deaths, closing in on half a million victims (June 17)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil registered 2,311 deaths from covid-19 in the last 24 hours and surpassed 496,000 deaths, while the number of infections exceeded 17.7 million.
