Brazil surpasses 500,000 Covid-19 deaths, says media consortium (June 19)

The epidemiological curve has accelerated again in recent weeks. Some experts say that the country could be on the verge of a third wave of the pandemic, following the upturn in the number of cases and deaths.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Brazil su  rpassed the 500,000 covid-19 deaths mark on Saturday, June 19, at a time when the country is heading for a third wave of the disease, according to data from a media consortium.

The media consortium was formed by Brazilian media companies O Globo, Extra, O Estado de S.Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo, G1 and UOL.
