RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The concern of Brazilians with the pandemic Covid-19 fell from March to June 2021. At the end of the first quarter of the year, 52% of Brazilians said they were apprehensive about the disease. By the end of the first semester, only 35% said they were worried about the virus.

The data are from the Health Brazil survey from the University of Brasília (UnB).

The study reveals that 14% of the interviewees have no fear of contracting Covid-19, while 21% think they have a great risk.

The survey also shows that most Brazilians consider that vaccination against Covid-19 is important for collective protection, but that the Bolsonaro government has not done a good job of tackling the pandemic.

It also reveals that 52% of the participants are already vaccinated and that the immunizer Brazilians are most willing to take is the one from Pfizer.
