Rio de Janeiro Mayor says 70% of adult residents have been vaccinated

According to the Mayor, almost 30% have been immunized with the second dose.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In a Twitter post on Wednesday, July 21, Mayor Eduardo Paes reported that 70% of adults in the city of Rio have now been vaccinated with at least the first Covid-19 vaccine dose.

According to the city Mayor, almost 30% have been immunized with the second dose.

By anticipating the schedule again, the city government pledged to vaccinate all adults by August 18.
