RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The balance released yesterday, August 16th, by the Ministry of Health, shows 620 new deaths from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, totaling 107,852 lives lost to the virus since the start of the pandemic.
In addition, 23,101 new cases were recorded, totaling 3,340,197 cumulative cases, of which 2,432,456 (72.8 percent) have recovered.
