Argentina says it will suspend flights from Brazil, Chile, and Mexico as of Saturday

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Starting this coming Saturday, March 27th, no passenger flights will be allowed into Argentina from Brazil, Chile and Mexico, in a move to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, particularly the Amazon or P1 strain and the British variant which is also causing havoc in the country's health system.

This administrative decision signed by Cabinet Chief Santiago Cafiero strengthens the restrictions effective since March 13. Under the new measure, Argentines returning from abroad will have to pay for their PCR tests and quarantine will have to be observed at a venue to be chosen . . .
