Portugal announces suspension of Covid-19 restrictions with three-step plan

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Portugal announced a three-step plan to suspend Covid-19 restrictions, including an end to nighttime curfews, as vaccination in the country progresses to help control a recent outbreak of infections.

Starting Sunday at 11 PM local time, curfews will no longer be in effect, and restrictions on restaurant and store opening hours will also be suspended, Portugal's Prime Minister António Costa said at a press conference.
