Rio de Janeiro Mayor plans to vaccinate everyone over 18 by late August

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD) on Friday, June 18, announced the advances in the city's vaccination schedule and said that all adults over 18 years of age will be immunized by the end of August.

The latest forecast was for this group to be vaccinated by October. The Mayor also addressed the possibility of holding Carnval in 2022.

According to Paes, the Ministry of Health's vaccine delivery rate has been faster than expected. He thanked the head of the portfolio, Marcelo Queiroga, who took part in the press conference alongside the Mayor . . .
