RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Butantan Institute today, July 13, received a shipment of 12,000 liters of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) to produce the CoronaVac vaccine against Covid-19.
The cargo left Beijing last Sunday, July 11, stopped over in Switzerland and landed at São Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport at 4:30 AM today.
The preparation of the vaccines for administration by the National Immunization Program should take 15 to 20 days. The immunizers will then be available across the country.
