Uruguay records no intensive care hospitalizations for Covid-19 in 240 days

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - A report by the Uruguayan Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SUMI) shows no admissions were reported on Wednesday, in addition to 4 deaths and 7 discharges.

The country totals 5,950 deaths from the disease to date. The youngest victim yesterday was a 43-year-old woman from Florida and the oldest was an 87-year-old woman from the Uruguayan capital.

With this data, the South American country totals 380,976 Covid-19 cases since the start of the health emergency declared in Uruguay on March 13, 2020, of which 2,305 people are currently . . .
