Uruguay reports 156 new cases and second consecutive day without Covid deaths (August 8)

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - According to the National Emergency System (Sinae), 10 109 tests were performed this Sunday, and 156 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected.

For the second consecutive day, no deaths from coronavirus were reported. The total number of deaths since the first cases became known is 5986 people.

There are currently 1636 active cases, people with the disease, 31 of whom are in critical care facilities.
