Uruguay to receive donation of 500,000 doses of Pfizer’s Covid vaccine from U.S.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Uruguay will receive 500,000 doses of the US Pfizer vaccine against covid-19 as a donation from the government of President Joe Biden, as announced this Friday, June 25, by the Secretary of the Presidency of the South American country, Álvaro Delgado.

At a press conference held at the Executive Tower in Montevideo, where he appeared with the Minister of Public Health, Daniel Salinas, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy, Jennifer Savage, Delgado said that Uruguay is "one of the first" to receive its share of the 14 million doses donated . . .
