MÚSICA BRASILEIRA:
Nego Álvaro no Dida Bar (Maracanã) – TOne of the excellent artists from Rio’s new samba music generation, Nego Álvaro will be performing live tonight at the Dida Bar, in Maracanã.
Followed by a group of virtuous musicians, Álvaro will honor some of the samba’s greatest personalities, including Moacyr Luz, and present his great compositions.

Festa Ploc (Botafogo) – Get ready for a throwback Thursday at the Jungle Garden Pub.
The Festa Ploc has been running for thirteen years. Tonight, DJs Dom LV and Poison Girl are reviving all the great artists of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat who has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who are not too keen on wine, there are plenty of beer and cocktail options, too. Happy hour begins at 5 PM and finishes at 8 PM.

Mississippi Delta Blues Bar (Gamboa)
As the name suggests, this is the place to go in Rio for live American-style blues music. Coupled with a Soul Food-inspired menu (their mac’n’cheese is excellent), plenty of bourbons, crafts beers, and a pool table, this place makes for an atmospheric hangout, whether there’s a band playing (and there usually is) or just the jukebox.
