Argentines More Pessimistic for 2021 Economy Than World Average
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Six out of ten Argentines, that is 58%, await a year of economic problems and only 2 out of 10, 22%, expect a year of economic improvement, says the report on the results of the 44th Annual Year-End Poll of Gallup International and Voices in Argentina.
The same survey determines that another 17% state that 2021 will be the same year as the year that passed and 4% do not know.

The poll also concludes that in terms of economic expectations Argentina is more pessimistic than the average for the rest of the planet. This in a framework of global pessimism about the economy, but that in the average of the 41 countries surveyed, 46% believe that 2021 will be a year of economic difficulties. Worldwide, only 25% believe that it will be a year of economic improvement.
Argentina is also more pessimistic in economic terms than the average for the region, since in Latin America 45% visualize that the coming year will be a difficult year.
Outside of economics, there is global optimism after 2020 where COVID-19 spread throughout the world: more than 4 out of 10 inhabitants of the planet (43%) expressed optimism for the coming year, doubling the pessimistic tally.
