RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Nicaraguan opposition presidential hopeful Arturo Cruz was arrested this Saturday at the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport, after he returned from a tour in the United States, he informed the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Cruz, presidential pre-candidate for the opposition Alianza Ciudadana, "is being investigated by the National Police for having strong indications that he has attempted against the Nicaraguan society and the rights of the people", detailed the Public Prosecutor's Office, in a press release.
