Covid: Panama with new measures to enter the country

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The new P1 strain of Sars Cov-2 detected in a person coming from Brazil prompted new measures and a stricter control to those entering Panama regardless of their route.

The measure, which will come into force on March 31st at midnight, states that national and foreign travelers entering the country must have a negative Covid-19 test performed 48 hours before they arrived in Panama and must undergo a mandatory quarantine of 5 days at their home or hotel, and then another test to rule out having contracted the virus during that time.
