RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Germany announced today that Chile, Spain, and the Lisbon region of Portugal would no longer be considered “high-risk areas” for coronavirus as of Sunday, August 29.
The measure was announced by Robert Koch Institute (RKI) virology authorities as part of the daily tally of confirmed cases, publishing, for example, the weekly changes in the locations where there is a high percentage of possibility of contracting Covid-19.
With these changes, people who want to enter the European country from Chile, Spain, or Lisbon must present a negative PCR test, a vaccination certificate, or a certificate of overcoming the disease, so they do not have to stay in quarantine for 10 days.
Unvaccinated children under 12 years of age who present a negative Covid-19 test do not have to undergo the isolation established above.
