Chilean man suspected of murdering Japanese girlfriend to stand trial in France

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Chilean Nicolás Zepeda is about to stand trial before a French court after being indicted as the main suspect of having killed his Japanese girlfriend, identified as Narumi Kurosaki, in December 2016.

According to different French media, "Zepeda will be tried by the criminal court of Doubs during the first half of 2022,″ declared the prosecutor of Besançon, Etienne Manteaux.

Since the case became known, Zepeda has maintained his innocence of the murder and disappearance of Narumi in France, and contested his appearance before the criminal court for considering it "unfounded."
