Gunfire Near Mexico’s US Border Leaves 14 Dead

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - At least 14 people died during a shooting on Saturday, November 30th, in Villa Union, a Mexican city in the state of Coahuila, which borders Texas in the United States.

According to Governor Miguel Angel Riquelme, the attack was carried out by members of the Cartel Del Noroeste, who reached the city in vans around noon and shot at public buildings, including the Villa Union city hall.

Four police officers died and another six were injured in the action. There is also an unspecified number of missing persons, the governor said.
