RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - President Dr. Irfaan Ali says that his administration is currently having discussions for the development of a second city in Guyana.
The president revealed his plans on Wednesday, Decembe 2nd, while speaking at the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) 25th Annual Awards Ceremony.
“We have initiated discussions on having a new area – a secondary city – developed. We are exploring this opportunity along the new four-lane highway because we are already seeing the pressure on the city itself.”
