High-tech Balloons Over Peru’s Rainforest Bring Internet to Remote Amazon Regions

Google's sister company Loon introduces broadband Internet to the Peruvian rainforest with automated flying solar balloons. The data will be transmitted via LTE mobile radio (4G).

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Remote regions of the Amazon in Peru are to be provided with access to the Internet using solar-powered gas balloons from Google's sister company Loon.
